Alvarez Argüelles Hoteles

Founder, together with Manuel Álvarez Argüelles, and president of Álvarez Argüelles Hoteles. Born in Galicia, Spain, she came to Argentina after the Spanish Civil War. She began to work with Manuel at different tourism establishments before they settled in Mar del Plata and started letting a small guest house there. That’s where AAH was born. She currently devotes most of her time to the Maternity and Children’s Hospital Foundation (FUNDAMI), of which she is president.

Born in Mar del Plata. She’s a public accountant (University of Mar del Plata) with post-graduate training in hotel catering, which she received at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland and the Centro Superior de Hostelería de Galicia. She has been director of MAPFRE Compañía de Seguros since 2019. She also holds honorary positions as Vice Consul of Spain in Mar del Plata, Delegate of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce of the Argentine Republic in Mar del Plata and Member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF). She has received, among others, the KONEX award, the SME entrepreneur merit diploma (2008–2018), and the Woman Entrepreneur of Buenos Aires 2019 award from the Economic Federation of the Province of Buenos Aires (FEBA).

Born in Mar del Plata on 1 June 1985. He holds a degree in business administration (Universidad de San Andrés) and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid, Spain. He has held various positions at Mercadolibre.com and Danone, and since June 2012 he has been executive director of the Álvarez Argüelles Hoteles hotel chain.
